Jim Carrey's 1994 The Mask may have been a superb canvas for his comic talents and some outstanding visual effects, but it also introduced audiences to a 21-year-old Cameron Diaz, who arrives in supremely sexy style at the start of the movie. As we see Stanley Ipkiss (Carrey) working at his bank, Tina Carlyle (Diaz) enters from the rain, fixing her shoe as the camera pulls in on her long legs, before traveling up to linger on her tight body, and finally, her fresh face and disarming eyes, in slow motion of course. The movie is full of moments which showcase Diaz's sheer sex appeal (who can forget that musical number in that ridiculously short dress?), but nothing matches the opening reveal, as not just audiences but casting agents and producers the world over all knew that this smoking hot blonde would have a bright future in Hollywood, and indeed she has. Trivia: Diaz was cast for the role without any acting experience, and had to take acting lessons after landing the part. Still, she proved to be a natural, and the screen loved her.
