10 Star Wars Characters Who Only Had One Movie To Shine

They had one movie to leave their mark on the world's favourite space saga... so how did they fare?

Star Wars is a franchise that prides itself on memorable characters, regardless of which trilogy you're watching. In the Original Trilogy, we watched the adventures of Luke Skywalker and the Rebellion as they fought Darth Vader and the menacing Empire. There were many memorable characters, from lovable rogue Han Solo to the droid comedy duo of C-3PO and R2-D2. With the scripting issues of the prequel movies, the memorability factor was significantly reduced - but there were still characters who stuck in our minds. However, for most of these characters, there was a common problem: they didn't appear in multiple movies. For some Star Wars characters, they were only given one movie to make an impression. Their appearances may have left audiences craving more and other times the character might not have been liked at all. Screen time isn't the only factor in determining whether a character is memorable, of course, and that goes especially in the case for those characters appearing on this list. Star Wars introduced us to a vast fantasy world, and just because the following creations only appeared in one movie doesn't mean they're any less important in that world. So let€™s turn on the hyperdrive and head to a galaxy far, far away as we take a look at the 10 Star Wars characters who only had one movie to shine...

Honorable Mention: Lobot - The Empire Strikes Back

You probably noticed him as the silent guy with the weird device wrapped around his head in The Empire Strikes Back. Well, don't let his silent and stern demeanor fool you, Lobot is actually one of the most capable people in Cloud City. The chief administrative aide to Lando Calrissian, Lobot was able to connect to the city's important systems through the device on his head. His speech might have deteriorated as a result, but he was still able to do his job effectively. Lobot was crucial in the rescue of Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO. While Imperial troops led the captives back to their ship, Lando discreetly sent a signal to Lobot using his old-school computer watch. Lobot immediately received the signal and assembled a group of Cloud City security officers. They intercepted the entourage, freed the prisoners and swept the Imperials troops out of sight. If it hadn't been for Lobot, Lando and the others wouldn't have been able to escape Cloud City and rescue Luke.
