10 Theme Park Rides Inspired By Movies We Need To Ride

8. Indiana Jones And The Temple Of The Forbidden Eye

Templeeye This was a hard choice because there is more than one Indiana Jones ride out there. In fact there are quite a few. While Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure Ride is not a roller coaster like the Temple of Peril in Paris, it probably sums up all the rides the best. What makes the ride fun is that the designers placed a lot of emphasis on developing the experience to be like the Jones movie that never got made. While waiting in line riders are introduced to the notion that the temple after being lost for two thousand years is now being excavated by Jones and crew. However, the dig has run out of money to continue research so they have opened up tours to raise funds. The problem is that not all of the tourists are returning from the temple and now Dr. Jones has gone missing too. Once you enter the temple it becomes like many scenic dark rides, although extremely well made. After pissing off the temple's archaic deity by looking into its eyes (Temple of the Forbidden Eye) the military jeep your in is thrown into the depths of a harrowing journey through snakes, mummies, giant bugs, etc. Everything you could ever ask for from an Indiana Jones Adventure. At the end the good doctor shows back up to save the day and together you both escape the temple.
