3. M.I.B. Alien Attack
Quite the fan favorite, Universal Studios Men in Black: Alien Attack ride puts you in the suit of an M.I.B. agent so-to-speak and has them compete against other riders to become M.I.B.'s next trainees. What makes this ride so popular is that it is one of most interactive theme park attractions ever designed. It also happens to be one of the cleverest too. Riders enter the waiting area, which is designed to look like the old space-themed exhibit The Universe and You: Are We Alone? from the 1960s World's Fair in New York. However, soon the guise lifts and it is revealed that the riders are actually in M.I.B. headquarters as new recuits. After they get through the line the riders are loaded into two carts that will oppose each other for the approval of Agent J (Will Smith) from the movies. The cart begins travelling along a darkly lit path where the rider must shoot alien targets. Just then Zed (Rip Torn) comes on a screen and informs the riders that New York is under the attack of a huge alien bug and the training exercise is over. The carts are then bombarded by the attack of real aliens. The riders must shoot the aliens before they fire back causing the cart to spin out of control. This leads to a part of the ride where the two carts face each other. An illusion makes it appear that the opposing riders are now aliens. The two carts fire at each other causing one of them to spin out of control again. At the end of the ride both parties are told how they did and then neuralized by J. They are then lead to an area that looks like the beginning of the World's Fair. This ride is one that you can return to again and again because the first couple times you ride it your score will probably be extremely low. Unlike the normal theme park attraction, this one incorporates a shooting gallery game that is hard to win, which prompts people to come back a second time and try again.
