10 Things About The DC Movie Universe That Make No Sense

Why the Hell is Harley in the Squad?

The movie series formerly known as the DC Extended Universe has had more than its fair share of teething problems and growing pains since Henry Cavill's Superman first got off the ground in 2013's Man of Steel.

Lukewarm reviews are the least of Warner Bros' problems since every instalment so far is no stranger to plotholes, inconsistencies and unresolved issues, some films being much worse offenders than others.

Wonder Woman has been the DC movie universe's only unequivocal hit so far, but even Diana Prince's solo debut threw up a few issues for the shared universe as a whole. This is what can happen when you bolt towards the finish line, faster than a speeding bullet, in a futile attempt to keep up with Marvel.

These problems were far more prevalent in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, but that didn't stop them from making a metric tonne of money, and in the latter's case, inspiring a fan crusade against online film journalism.

Although the Amazon warrior has restored some optimism to the series ahead of Justice League, the big superhero team up was built on shaky foundations because so much from the movies feeding into it simply doesn't add up.

10. Diana Keeping Her Secret Identity Hidden For A Century

Immortality is something of a double-edged sword in the DC movie universe. There are obvious benefits, but keeping your secret identity under wraps must be a Doomsday-sized pain in the backside.

Woman Woman seems to have a handle on it, though. She dons the Diana Prince identity like a mask in her World War I-era solo outing and was still wearing it in Batman v Superman's present-day setting.

How she hasn't been rumbled in more than a century is a mystery wrapped up in one of The Riddler's riddles, and reports that Wonder Woman 2 will be set during the Cold War era means it makes even less sense.

Clearly Diana has been active between the events of Wonder Woman and Dawn of Justice, so how is a solitary photography dug up by Lex Luthor the only evidence of her lengthy existence that's turned up over the course of a century?
