Two weeks ago we learned that Captain America 3 was going to star Robert Downey Jr., then last Thursday saw the leak and subsequent official release of the trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. And now they've unveiled the names and release dates of the nine (!) films that will make up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If things keep continuing in this way we'll have real life, fully functioning Iron Man suits by Christmas. On top of the already announced Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange and Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, there's going to be Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Inhumans and a two part Avengers: Infinity War. Bloody hell, the next few years are going to be awesome. Naturally this has prompted questions about saturation of the genre, with this, combined with D.C.'s recently announced Cinematic Universe and efforts from other studios, meaning there's twenty-five new superhero movies in the next six years. Marvel may be upping the ante by planning to release three new films a year, but in all honesty we're doubtful fatigue will set in just yet. There's a real diversity to the projects, with the supernatural Doctor Strange and sci-fi comedy of Guardians Of The Galaxy incredibly distinct, bar the comic book source. The announcement has prompted a lot of questions, as well as given us some interesting information about the future of the MCU that could be easy to overlook. Here are ten things you need to know about Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
