The widely-acclaimed Captain America: Civil War of course kicked off Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is set to include massively anticipated sequels to Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Avengers: Age of Ultron, while also further cementing Black Panther and Spider-Man's places in the MCU and introducing audiences to both Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel.

Marvel Studios have a ton of ground to cover, but there are a number of key moments that fans are desperate to see in particular, from long-gestating plot threads to iconic moments from the comic books and even a budding romance that just makes a ton of sense.

Fans naturally won't get everything they want, but these 10 things should take priority because they would not only satisfy a huge chunk of the fanbase, but also potentially rectify some of the MCU's more common criticisms.

Here are 10 things that must happen in MCU Phase 3...

10. Thor Finally Hooks Up With Sif

Avengers Iron Man Star Lord

By far the worst romance in the MCU to date has been that between Thor and Jane Foster: it's felt forced from minute one, and so fans were overjoyed when it was revealed that Foster wouldn't be appearing in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.

This presents the perfect opening to have Thor hook up Sif, who, let's be honest, has been much better-suited for him all along. For one, she's an awesome Asgardian warrior, and she's hot as hell. As much as romance generally feels pretty forced and unnecessary in the MCU, this is one hook-up that would feel totally earned and make a load of sense.

How Likely Is It?: It follows logically, though early reports suggest that Jaimie Alexander may not be appearing in Ragnarok due to commitments to her TV show Blindspot. Still, Alexander did tweet to a concerned fan, "Don't worry ;)", which some have taken as tactic confirmation that she will indeed appear.

If she does indeed show up, then this seems highly likely indeed. 7/10
