10 Things You Didn't Know About Clint Eastwood

10. He's A Musician

Despite his performance in 1969's questionable musical Paint Your Wagon, Eastwood has actually had a moderately successful - though brief - musical career. As Rawhide was declining in popularity by the early '60s, he released his one and only album entitled Rawhide's Clint Eastwood Sings Cowboy Favourit'. The album sold only moderately well, and mercifully he returned to acting later the same year in Sergio Leone's first instalment of the Dollars trilogy. He's had better success outside of the country-and-western genre. An accomplished pianist from an early age, he favours jazz and blues, and has even performed at Carnegie Hall. He has scored many of his own films, and also lended his vocals to the Golden Globe nominated title track of Gran Torino. Unfortunately, however, it's the Cowboy Favourites that stick in the mind.
