3. Even The Filmmakers Had Problems Understanding The Mogwai Rules
There are three rules when owning a Mogwai: Dont feed them after midnight, dont get them wet, and keep them away from bright lights. While the dont get them wet and keep them away from bright lights rules are easy enough, the feeding them after midnight rule proved problematic. They never say when you can feed them. After midnight could mean literally any time of the day. This became a huge joke when filming the second film, when the characters questioned the validity of the rules. This was partially from the filmmakers and also incorporated elements of the problems fans of the first film had brought up. Im still not sure how timezones work when it comes to taking care of Mogwais.
