10 Things You Didn't Know About Rosario Dawson

4. Her Scene From The Devil's Rejects Was Cut Out

One of Rosario Dawson's other big showbiz pals is Rob Zombie, who straddles the gap between filmmaking and music, having directed a number of horror films after channelling his love for the genre as frontman of White Zombie. Dawson voiced a character in Zombie's The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, but they planned to collaborate earlier. In fact, Dawson filmed a scene for Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects, the sequel to his directorial debut House Of 1000 Corpses, but it was cut out. Dawson was to have an extremely brief cameo as a nurse who attends to Dr Satan, a murderous scientist who appears towards the end of the first film. Ultimately, Zombie decided to have no Dr Satan in The Devil's Rejects at all, hence the scene being cut. Dawson did the very small part as a favour to the director in the first place, and you can still see the gory deleted scene on the film's DVD. Or just watch it on YouTube, because you were going to do that anyway.
