10 Things You Learn Re-Watching Prometheus

10. The Engineers Are Ridiculously Goofy

There was a lot of pre-release hype about the Engineers being these immensely imaginative new additions to the Alien franchise, and though their role in creating humanity (and subsequently attempting to destroy it) is undeniable, they're also an absolutely daft creation.

From the movie's opening scene, where an Engineer sacrifices himself to essentially seed the human race on Earth, they're a rather comical-looking alien race to say the least (especially when decked out in those skin-tight white shorts).

Like a lot of things in this movie, you really need to just give yourself over to the silliness and enjoy it, because as cool as the idea of the Engineers is, their slightly protruding foreheads and impeccable, prosthetic-looking muscles make them look totally ridiculous.
