10 Things You Need To Know About Batman Vs Superman

The most anticipated film of 2016? Here's what you should know.

We already know a lot about the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, even despite Warner Bros' stoic secrecy. It's already one of the most anticipated, talked-about films currently in production, and it is exactly the kind of blockbuster that will make a fortune at the box office (possibly despite its quality). However, while financial success is essentially a given, creative success is another question, and that's what has fans both hardcore and casual alike curious. How will Dawn of Justice come together? Can it live up to Christopher Nolan's popular Batman trilogy? Those are the key questions. We know Henry Cavill is back as Clark Kent/Superman and that Amy Adams is back as Lois Lane as well. Diane Lane and Laurence Fishbourne are back also, resuming their roles from Man of Steel. And of course we know Ben Affleck has been cast as Batman/Bruce Wayne - unless you've been living under a rock that lacked internet access for the past several months - with Jeremy Irons taking over as Alfred, his loyal butler and confidante. Hans Zimmer - inevitably - will provide the score. You've probably seen the new Batmobile as well: pictures of the Tumbler/Batmobile cross and the new Batsuit, were some of the first seen from the set of the movie. That move to bring back more traditional Batmobile features - with a very obvious aesthetic nod to Burton's vehicle - should allay the fears of those Bat-fans who disliked the not particularly iconic look of the Tumbler. As for new characters - we know that Wonder Woman will be in the film, as will Cyborg (played by Ray Fisher, with both due to get standalone movies later), and of course there are quite a few more joining in the fun, some of whom we will come to shortly. So far, so good, right? Well, in the past week or so, a ton of new information has hit the media, including info on character origins, motivations, unexpected casting news, and much more. So what better time than to wade through and pick out the best of what we know - with a light spoiler warning thrown in.
