10 Things You Need To Know About Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4

10. Dylan Baker Would've Been The Lizard

Sony Pictures

Raimi had been seeding a bunch of future plans in his Spider-Man movies. It may not have looked it at times, as in the spectacularly messy third film, but even that was supposed to lead into a Venom spin-off at some point. Something Sony are also still considering!

Anyway, one of the other, more subtle bits of foreshadowing he had been working in was Dylan Baker's appearance in the third film as Dr Curt Connors, the one-armed geneticist that everybody knows better as the reptilian supervillain The Lizard.

According the reports, he would've been the main villain of Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately Baker never got to make good on whatever contract he had at Sony and the hours he'd put into a bit part that would eventually bloom into a lead once they rebooted the franchise and Rhys Ifans snatched the role from under his nose. Harsh.
