7. Black Widow Escapes Her Captors (The Avengers)

In an early scene of the Avengers movie, the camera focuses on a seemingly helpless Black Widow. She is tied to a chair and being hit in the face. However, what she€™s actually doing is using the situation to her advantage, knowing that she can escape at any time.

Soon after the scene begins, Black Widow€™s "captors" receive a phone call from S.H.I.E.L.D. agent - and Black Widow's close colleague - Phil Coulson. Coulson asks for Black Widow and informs the captors, in his own calm and inimitable manner, that he knows exactly where they located and that he could blow up the entire block they€™re situated in very easily. As a result, the captor hands the phone over to Black Widow, who explains that she€™s busy "working" and that the "moron" captor is giving her everything she needs to know. When Coulson explains to her that her good friend Hawkeye ("Barton") has been compromised, she asks to be put on hold for a moment. Then, whilst still tied to a chair, she begins taking out her captors with consummate ease. No sooner has the ass-kicking begun, she has freed herself from the chair and all three opponents present are subdued. She then picks up her heels and calmly walks off.
