10 Times Marvel Movies F*cked Up Character Design

Marvel doesn't actually have a perfect record...

You never would have guessed fifteen years ago just how much Superhero movies would inform the cinematic landscape. That the release of Bryan Singer's X-Men would herald in an age where these fantastical characters, so often presumed to be stuck on the pages of newsstand shelf-fillers, would burst onto the screen in increasingly faithful adaptations was once the stuff of feverish fantasy. Here we are though, living in a world where The Avengers, the X-Men and their enemies are regularly brought to life on screen in glorious technicolour. That's not to say every time a character is brought from the page to the screen it's a win though. Over the years Marvel, along with its studio partners at Fox and Sony, has seen more of its characters make the leap than anyone else but, let's be honest, for every time they've gotten it right there have been a few major mis-steps along the way. From horribly campy body armour to misguided attempts to match the source material, Marvel has made a few decisions that will make you wish you had the mutant superpower to forget they ever happened. Since that's not really an option, you'll just have to settle for tearing into the worst offenders instead...
