10 Upcoming Movies That Have Been Overhyped Out Of Proportion

10. Robocop (Release: 7 February 2014)

Robocop Remake Yes, I get that robots are cool and robots that play hardass cops even more so. But let's face it. This ain't the nineties. The times have gone from a changin' to already changed. We've moved on. Except for director Jose Padilha, which is probably why he has chosen to go ahead and make another movie about the same old moving hunk of crime-fighting metal. What's amazing is that people, somehow, still believe that this is worth waiting for, thus effectively preventing the movie from being relegated to the league of the unknowns more embarrassingly than Blackburn Rovers was. This niche of people cannot get enough of the man-inside-a-machine gimmick after all the Robocop cartoons, the 1987 movie and Iron Mans we've been subjected to. Hard to believe but true, people have been waiting for 'months and months' for the film. Or perhaps it's all just about wanting to see Samuel L. Jackson in a ridiculous perm wig.

I'm Saahil from India and no, I don't own an elephant. I write. I think P. G. Wodehouse might just be the greatest author of all times. Manhattan was definitely Woody Allen's masterpiece (yes, over Annie Hall). The Shawshank Redemption is overrated. I love debating. I've always dreamed of shooting zombies with a sawed-off during an apocalypse. I own a dog. The Sixth Sense was a fluke. Sheldon Cooper is probably the worst TV character right now. I play table tennis. I am socially awkward. I don't know how to end this. My editor's probably going to cream me for this. But, whatever.
