10 Ways Jurassic World Sets Up A Sequel

Because there sure ain't a Site C!

It's official: the Jurassic Park series is back! Yes, the fourth entry, Jurassic World, has released to decent critical acclaim and scooped up $1 billion at the box office in record time. Naturally, it's probably only a matter of weeks before a release date is announced for the follow-up, likely summer 2018 given the time needed to prep the script and also to hunt down a new director. While everyone has their own theories about where the franchise could go from here, there's plenty to glean from the horse's (or rather, dino's) mouth itself, as Jurassic World is packed full of clues about where the series is headed. From the fates of certain characters to cheeky dangling plot threads, dialogue hints and even the film's title itself, it seems that the direction of a fifth movie, whatever it's called (is Jurassic Earth too samey? What about Jurassic War?) is pretty much already established. Sure, there's always the chance it goes in a completely left-field direction that nobody ever saw coming, but these various elements weren't thrown into the movie for no reason: they're a clear attempt at world-building and constructing a road-map to ensure future sequels don't suffer with the same problems that assailed the second and third films. Without any further ado, here are 10 ways Jurassic World sets up a sequel...
