10 Ways To Be Outed As A Film School Graduate

Life After Film School1 Take it from the guy who went, film school is not for everyone. If you are planning to go there are a lot of factors to think about before applying such as financial aid, the school's environment and focus, and what you plan on doing with the degree because as far as the showbiz world is concerned no one is ever going to care that you have it. If you are planning on going to film school than you probably already know how expensive they can be so I will mainly dwell on choosing a school based on its environment and focus. Not all film schools actually allow you to make films. Some are strictly theory schools that will teach you a lot of interesting academia while never giving you any hands on experience. As with any college/university program based on the arts some are really hard to gain admission and others are a cakewalk of indifference (meaning they take anybody). The avaerge teacher and student that makes up the school's population is extremely important as is the way you treat them. Like show business itself where your reputation is your career the same can be said of film school where a couple of mistakes can ruin your experience.
