10 Weird Jobs Hollywood Stars Had Before They Were Famous

5. Party Clown - Hugh Jackman

In recent years the name Hugh Jackman has become synonymous with everyone's favourite X-Men character, Wolverine - few actors have so successfully crafted a character and made it their own, and he drew much of his inspiration for the character from Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry movies and fellow Aussie Mel Gibson in Mad Max. Long before he was raking in millions at the box office playing the superhero, Jackman earned a living in an altogether different kind of costume, dressing up as a clown and entertaining children at parties - the international star would pick up a cheque for $50 for each party. Speaking of his former profession, Jackman said, €œI was Coco the Clown and I had no magic tricks and I remember a six-year-old standing up at a party saying 'Mummy this clown is terrible, he doesn't know any tricks' - and he was right."
