The Awful Director: Ignoring his hit 1978 debut, Steve Rash hasn't directed another critically-praised movie, despite working semi-consistently over the last four decades.

His most notable duds include Chevy Chase vehicle Under the Rainbow, Patrick Dempsey's Can't Buy Me Love, and Whoopi Goldberg's Eddie.

In recent years Rash has dedicated himself to directing terrible straight-to-video spin-offs nobody asked for, such as American Pie: Band Camp, two Bring It On sequels, and Road Trip: Beer Pong.

The One Great Movie: Rash burst onto the Hollywood scene with his 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story, which won a Best Music Oscar and was nominated for two more, including Gary Busey for his performance as the eponymous musician.

People say Orson Welles peaked too early, but at least he put out consistently quality movies post-Citizen Kane. Conversely, Rash is perhaps the textbook definition of a one-hit wonder.
