The Buzz: A big-budget, R-rated reboot of the iconic TV series, starring The Rock, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario, with cameos from The Hoff and Pamela Anderson, and directed by Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon. What more do you really want?

What We Got: Well, the cast tried their hardest, but Baywatch ultimately failed to make good on its potential due to a depressingly unfunny script that clearly tried to coast on the personalities of its cast without bringing much to the table in the way of legitimate humour.

Most bizarre is that, despite the R-rating, there was zero nudity, male or female, which feels totally the opposite of what an adult Baywatch movie should be. It was also massively overlong at 116 minutes and suffered from some of the worst CGI you'll probably ever see in a $70 million movie.

Far from the 21 Jump Street-esque retooling most were expecting, Baywatch was a dud in almost every sense.
