12. Leia Remembers Her Mother

Back in Return Of The Jedi, Luke asks his sister whether she remembers her mother and Leia's response suggested the pair had some interaction when Leia was old enough to remember:

"She was very beautiful. Kind, but... sad... She died when I was very young."

Luke shares the sad fact that he has no memory of his own mother. But then, when the prequel trilogy came out, it became very obvious why he wouldn't: Padme died very shortly after giving birth to Luke and Leia.

In other words, Leia can't have had memories of her mother. She was seconds old when she died, and while she probably was "sad" - since she was dying - it's a change to what the original trilogy suggested.

Perhaps we could put it down to some Force power, but that would be way too convenient.
