11. Is Namor Actually Coming?

So far, we've seen various Easter Eggs in the MCU pointing to the impending arrival of new characters: Black Panther was hinted at before he appeared, Thanos and the Infinity Stones were too and given Kevin Feige's assurances that the MCU has been plotted out for years, it's safe to assume others have sneaked in too.

In that regard, it seems strange that the two Easter Eggs pointing to Namor The Submariner have so far amounted to nothing. In Iron Man 2, a map at SHIELD features what looks like a marker for Namor's Solitary Place off the coast of South America. It's not named, but the position very much suggests it. And then in the same film there's the fact that Larry Ellison of Oracle appears in a cameo - the CEO of the company that shares its name with Namor's in-comics company.

So will we ever get to see the famed anti-hero on screen? Apparently rights issues have held it up, but the fact that Marvel top brasses have even looked into the rights in detail suggests some wheels have been turning somewhere.
