12 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2015’s Biggest Movies

For whom the bell tolls...

Film fans are in for a big year. With the culmination of Marvel's Phase 2 landing in May with Avengers: Age Of Ultron and the next chapter opening with the far less anticipated Ant-Man, a new Star Wars, a fresh take on the Fantastic Four and possible new dawns for both the Jurassic Park franchise and Terminator, the blockbuster genre will be busier than usual. And that's not to mention brand new properties like Tomorrowland, Jupiter Ascending and Inside Out from Pixar, or the countless sequels and reboots and the revival of the Western genre. Thanks to the spoiler culture that hungrily hoovers up all set information and leaks, some of the biggest events of the year are already laid out in a fairly broad sense, but speculation remains an entertaining endeavour. If only to keep film-makers on their toes, of course. It's also a plainly held fact that death sells in tent-pole films: almost as soon as event movies are announced there's a curious sub-culture of film fans who eagerly start debating who is the most likely to be killed off in the directors' quest for dramatic tension. It's no longer a question of whether someone will die, but how many and who; which has amped up the threat level in movies and made for some seriously disarming emotional pay-offs. Quite simply, few characters of 2015's characters are safe - even established ones in billion dollar franchises... INEVITABLY, some spoilers will follow.
