11 Comic-Con Announcements The Fanboys Would Love

DC rules the roost at this year's Con, but can they make the most of it?

It's that time of the year again (albeit slightly earlier than usual): 130,000+ comic book, video game, TV and movie fans are descending upon the San Diego Convention Center for the Comic-Con that puts all others to shame, and what a show it's set to be. It's fair to say that this is going to be one of the stranger Cons in a while: for starters, it's the first year in quite some time where Marvel Studios won't be appearing, and Sony and Paramount are also giving it a miss. So, what better time for the likes of Warner Bros. and Fox to take advantage and deliver a ton of exciting surprises? In an ideal world, a number of long-awaited projects will finally be confirmed, filmmakers will spill the latest on their mysterious new works, and maybe somebody will tell everyone who might (and might not) be showing up in the next season of Game Of Thrones. Please? The thrill of Comic-Con is always in the shock announcements that bring down the house (remember the reveal of Batman V Superman two years ago?), so hopefully someone will come out swinging with a real jaw-dropper to get everyone talking. Here are 11 Comic-Con announcements the fanboys would love...
