We all knew The Matrix trilogy was flawed: the first was a triumph, that hit the nail on the hit for a disaffected generation who dreamt of something else and craved solace in online communities between their dreary lives and boring jobs, but the sequels might as well have been made by George Lucas. They were poor, overly-convoluted and a mess, and some people began to resent choosing the red pill.
