2. Lex Luthor's Weirdness - Batman v Superman

The Confusing Moment:

At the end of Batman v Superman, Lex Luthor is thrown into prison, but has a final barb for the visiting Batman that “the bell cannot be unrung. He’s hungry. He’s found us and he’s coming!”

Two things were unclear in this cut: firstly, why he was even in prison, and then who the hell he was talking about.

The Deleted Scene:

As the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman revealed later, Luthor was captured back inside the Kryptonian scout ship seemingly in communication with Steppenwolf - informing him of the presence of the Mother Boxes on Earth.

It's short, but it explained Luthor's final monologue to Batman, even if it posed a lot of questions in itself (like how he knew what Steppenwolf's phone number was, for instance).
