12 Movie Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (31st Jan)

Is the coolest Star Wars character about to make a surprising comeback?

With the Superbowl just around the corner and the Oscar ceremony a few weeks away, we're heading into the movie lull that usually sees the worst films of the year sneaked into cinemas with studios hoping nobody will actually notice them. Or at least that's what usually happens: this year it looks like Hollywood is sticking two fingers up at the so-called Graveyard window by bringing out Deadpool Hail, Caesar!, Triple 9, Zoolander 2 and a surprising number of must-see films in February. And alongside that, the movie news machine continues to churn out important revelations. There's more from Star Wars, more from Marvel and DC and even more news of those unnecessary remakes that studios just can't get enough of. In other news that didn't make the cut, it turns out the villain and Starlord's father have both been cast in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, Toni Colette is going action for the XXX threequel and Kevin Spacey is playing a talking cat. So really, there's some things to be excited about, even as Hollywood clearly completely loses its mind. Hold tight for the biggest and most eye-opening movie and TV revelations of the week...

12. Forest Whitaker Will Be A Bounty Hunter (Of Sorts) In Rogue One

With less than 12 months left before the next Star Wars movie hits cinemas, Making Star Wars Making Star Wars has unveiled rumours regarding Forest Whitaker's role in the film. They say he will most likely be aligned with the good guys, but that he will have a sort of €œbounty hunter affiliated type€ role. He's likely to be a veteran of battle, having lost a leg that's been replaced by a robotic augmentation. He'll also walk with a cane, and his outfit will include a cape (making a step up the cool ladder from House MD), while his look will resemble the patrons of Maz Kanata's bar.
