12 Reasons Justice League Should Follow Up Man Of Steel

JL.character.print After the Success of Marvel's Avengers, it was shocking that Warner Bros. didn€™t come out with a plan for DC Comics€™ own ensemble property The Justice League. Zack Snyder's Man of Steel was met with mixed reviews; it€™s going to be the launching pad for the larger DC universe. DC and Marvel have always been direct competitors, but if DC wants to capitalize on the all-star team up film they€™re going to need a plan and execute it quickly. The Avengers sequel Age of Ultron is slated for 2015, and with the ever circulating rumors of a JL project, DC fans are more anxious than they are excited. It's time to give the people what they want; here are 12 reasons a Justice League movie should be a priority over Batman vs. Superman using The New 52 Justice League Volume One: Origins.

12. A Welcoming Experience

Not.Heroes "Welcoming to new fans looking to get into superhero comics for the first time and old fans who gave up on the funny-books long ago..." - MTV GEEK That is the quote that grabbed my attention; as I debated whether or not I was going to get back into comic books. And it was no exaggeration: Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, and Scott Williams have effectively reimagined the world in which these superheroes exist together; but even more than that, the story is smart, entertaining, and action packed. As a result new and old fans alike will get to see familiar characters in a whole new light; while providing substantial amounts of background for each character, yet still making good use of their personalities. The story in Origins addresses the world's reaction to the discovery of other super-humans, and after the after the events of Man of Steel; it€™s questionable as to whether or not the people of Earth view Superman as a hero. Warner Bros. has already set the stage, and they€™d simply need to lift the source material right off the page to the big screen.
