13. Texas Ranger Hal Hartman - Leatherface

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel has got death written all over it (it's about as major a character in the franchise as Leatherface himself), and while it won't deliver a fully-rounded version of the iconic villain straight away,

Hartman's arc sees him embittered and vengeful after his daughter was murdered. He will take that vendetta out on the Sawyer family, and Jedidiah in particular after he escapes from a mental institution, taking a nurse hostage. Given that we know that Jedidiah goes on to become Leatherface, there's no way Hartman wins. And since he's not around by the time The Texas Chainsaw Massacre kicks off, it's not looking good for him.

He's also said to be inspired by Dennis Hopper's Lefty Enright from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and given that he met a sticky end, the writing is on the wall for Hartman doubly.
