13 Great Actors Who Star In Multiple Film Franchises

Before we begin with our list, let's go over a few of the stipulations...

A friend of mine once asked me a difficult question. Here's the scenario: someone's holding a small box with a button inside of it saying that when you press it, you'll only be able to watch the movies of one actor for the rest of your life. If you need some motivation, pretend the stranger has a gun, or a katana, or a bag of sharks or something. So, who do you pick? Do you go the classic route, picking Peter O'Toole and getting decades of classic films? Do you go for someone young, like Michael Cera, in hopes that the actor's continuing progress in the business will grant you more opportunities to see greater films in the future? Luckily, I'm here to help with your impending doom with a list of thirteen great actors who would supply you with more than just one popular franchise of movies. Before we begin with our list, let's go over a few of the stipulations. One; when I talk about franchises, that doesn't mean the actor has to be in every film in order for you to count it. For example, if you were to pick, say, Gary Oldman, even though he wasn't in Harry Potter's 1 & 2, you would still get all eight films, as he's part of the franchise. This also goes for if they're only in one film of the franchise, as well, meaning you'd also get all the Hannibal Lector films with the previous example (if you'd like not to go by that rule, and only choose the films the actor is in, that is up to you, of course). Second, I'm considering Marvel Studios' recent endeavors to be a franchise, as they all intersect with each other. If you don't think that's fair, then take that into consideration with your own choices. This list will be inclusive of the existing six films as a single franchise. So, ladies and gentlemen, let's get started.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
