13 Movies From 2015 Already Guaranteed Oscars

The year is only half-way done, but naturally film buffs are already considering what might (and might not) be earning Oscar nominations early next year. It's always fun to speculate on the awards race and observe it as it evolves over the months, even if it's only so predictable to a point, and frequently loves to defy expectation. Still, it's hard not to look at a number of movies on wide release, unleashed upon festivals and hyped for release later in the year, and not already feel like some of the Oscars have pretty much already been given out. So, it's time to consider those movies which are just waiting in the wings to walk up to the podium and fill their boots...but no, Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies doesn't make the cut, largely because the director is historically excellent at scoring nominations for his movies, but unless you're the force of nature that is Daniel Day-Lewis, following through with a win isn't so easy. These movies, whether already out or awaiting release, are practically guaranteed to nab gold next February, their reputation cemented long before the Academy decides to recognise it.
