2015 is destined to go down in history as the most franchise-friendly year in cinema history to date, what with so many series getting anticipated sequels, belated follow-ups, reboots, remakes, reimaginings and so on. While nobody expects that something like Avengers: Age Of Ultron is going to be anything other than catnip for practically everyone, plenty of other cinematic offerings this year aren't sure to sit quite so well with fanboys. Fanboys are the most severe judges of any entertainment property: they hold the particular franchise or genre in question extremely close to heart, and take it as a personal affront if something involved with it isn't to their liking. Crappy casting? A lame idea that "ruins" the original classic movies? Minute nitpicks nobody else would ever notice? Fanboys will cry foul if any of these happen this year, and in the case of these 13 movies, it's looking incredibly likely that the passionate enthusiasts are going to have plenty of whining to do. From weirdly off-base video game adaptations to reboots nobody particularly cares about (but enough to complain, anyway) and tricky comic book movies sure to be endlessly scrutinised no matter how good they are, these 13 movies are almost tailor-made to rustle the jimmies of fanboys the world over...
