13 People You Didn't Know Were In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

11. Jenna-Louise Coleman

It's a fact of life that following their departures from Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Eastenders or the like, most British soapstars will fade into obscurity, never to be seen again barring z-list 'celebrity' specials or second-rate sitcoms. Jenna-Louise Coleman bucked this trend three years after her departure from Emmerdale when she first appeared as the new companion of the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who, following the departure of Karen Gillan (who would go on to star in Guardians Of The Galaxy) from the series in 2012. Despite dying in both of her first two appearances, the third version of her character has stayed by the side of the Doctor for the last two years, despite the fact that he himself has now transitioned from Matt Smith into Peter Capaldi. One year prior to her appearance on Doctor Who, Coleman made her film debut in Captain America: The First Avenger, appearing briefly at the start of proceedings when she functions as one of the two girls who accompany the pre-serum Steve Rogers and his best friend Bucky Barnes to Howard Stark's exhibition of future technologies.
