13 Star Wars Actors Who Were Also In Marvel Movies

12. Richard Armitage

The Actor: Armitage was already recognisable to British audiences for roles in TV series such as North & South and The Vicar of Dibley, as well as an impressive amount of stage work, however it was 2012 that really saw him shoot to prominence. That was when he starred as Thorin Oakenshield, leader of the dwarves in Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit, a role he played in all 1138 hours of the trilogy. Role In Star Wars: Armitage had a very small, blink-and-you'll-miss-it role as a Naboo fighter pilot in Episode I, The Phantom Menace. Role In Marvel: A year before starring in The Hobbit, and in a bigger part than he had in Star Wars, he appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger as Heinz Kruger. A top Hydra assassin working for the Red Skull, he committed suicide after being captured by Cap.
