13 Worst Movie Sequel Titles Ever

12. Terminator Genisys

Movies with chintzy tech-speak titles always age horribly, and the fifth Terminator movie became an instant target for derision with its subtitle "Genisys", making the fourth film's positively generic title Terminator Salvation seem positively poetic by comparison.

While Genisys is at least part of the movie's plot - it's the name of the operating system that eventually becomes Skynet - the portmanteau of "genesis" and "system" makes it sound like a cheap straight-to-video sci-fi film rather than a $160 million Hollywood tentpole.

If they'd called it "Terminator: Genesis" it'd at least be generically functional, but Genisys? That's just asking for trouble, and that's without even addressing the bizarre lack of a colon between the two words.
