14. A Transformer Killed Hitler - Transformers: The Last Knight

When Anthony Hopkins' historian Edmund Burton is dumping a heap of exposition on Mark Wahlberg and company, he not-so-subtly implies that a Transformer disguised as a clock assassinated Hitler. Yup.

Why It's Dumb: It's pretty self-explanatory, really, because while previous Transformers movies have engaged with real-world history in relatively not-terrible fashion, this was just one step too far.

Nobody's expecting a Michael Bay movie that features Nazis to be tasteful or make a modicum of sense, but having Hitler be bumped off by a tiny little clock Transformer? Really!?

The fact that Bay didn't actually show the killing itself is probably what he thinks passes for restraint.
