14 Most Out Of Place Scenes In Movie History

13. The Zion Rave - The Matrix Reloaded

The Scene: After Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) gives the inhabitants of Zion a rallying speech, they party the night away in their wet, muddy cave, all while Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) are off busy rutting.

Why It's Out Of Place: When people think of The Matrix, they think of insane action sequences, cutting edge visual effects and bada** action heroes wearing cool black clothing, right?

This painfully drawn-out sequence has none of that, with the Wachowskis instead forcing the viewer to sit through a five-minute slow-motion rave intercut with unappealing, decidedly un-sexy coverage of Neo and Trinity banging one out.

It's always felt like cutting room floor material that somehow made it into the final movie, and though the scene is more weird and unnecessary than outright bad, it is incredibly conspicuous and does virtually nothing to advance the characters or plot.

At least the rave music was pretty dope, though.
