15 Actors Who Desperately Need A Hit
1. Mike Myers
Mike Myers was a consistently strong box office draw from the early 90s through to the mid-2000s, even though he didn't actually appear in that many movies.
Still, the Wayne's World, Austin Powers and Shrek franchises kept him in the good graces of audiences, even when 2003's The Cat in the Hat ended up being the biggest flop of his career to date.
He survived it, though, but it all came crashing down when 2008's The Love Guru didn't just bomb financially, but was critically panned, won three Razzie awards (Worst Picture, and Worst Actor and Worst Screenplay for Myers) and Myers also ended up nominated for the Worst Actor of the Decade award.
In short, it pretty much killed Myers' career, and though he still had success with a cameo in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and 2010's Shrek Forever After, he's not appeared in a major movie since the latter.
To his credit, Myers did direct a terrific 2013 documentary about legendary Hollywood talent manager Shep Gordon, though it might take a much-discussed sequel to either Wayne's World or Austin Powers to truly bring him back into the fold.
