15 Bafflingly Low Rotten Tomatoes Scores You Won't Believe

8. Space Jam (35%)

Critical Consensus: "A harmless mishmash of basketball and animation that'll entertain kids but leave adults less than thrilled." Why It€™s Wrong: Because, as the critics say, it'll entertain kids, and for adults, there's still the jaw-dropping (for its time) blend of animation and live-action, plus Michael Jordan's surprisingly solid performance in the lead human role. It might not be a whole lot more than an expensive advert for Jordan as a commodity, but at least it's wonderful to look at and hilarious to boot while selling the basketball star. Why The Critics Hated It: While it's clear that they would've turned their noses up at the commercial aspect of it, otherwise it's tough to figure out why they weren't more charmed by the movie's style and amusing subject matter. Perhaps they felt that Who Framed Roger Rabbit did everything that needed to be done with animation-live action hybrids a whole 8 years earlier.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
