Despite how ludicrous the idea that Scarlet Witch somehow gave Thor key plot details in the nightmarish vision she implanted in his head was, the Asgardian's commitment to seeing what she put in his head again was admirable and revelatory. That's because the sequence briefly gave the Avengers the first hints that Thanos (or at least someone) has a grave grand plan. Pausing the brief flash also basically gave away Thanos' entire plan in a single second, as it showed the faintest outline of his Infinity Gauntlet (captured in gold astro gas or something) and the already discovered Gems in place. It's a blink and you miss it moment, but at least Thor seems to have got the message.
