15 Movie Sequels That Better Happen In 2016

13. 28 Months Later

The Originals: Danny Boyle's low-budget 2002 horror flick 28 Days Later proved to be an unexpected hit both in the UK and abroad, leading to a bigger-budget 2007 sequel, 28 Weeks Later, which, while not quite as nuanced, was still popular with critics and successful at the box office. The Sequel: Ever since Weeks' ending teased how the Rage Virus was spreading across the globe, fans have been eager to see a third movie depicting the catastrophe on a larger scale. Boyle has repeatedly said over the last 8 years that there's an idea in place for a third film, but it's a case of getting all the parties together to make it happen and sorting out the various legal wranglings which have kept the rights up in the air. How Likely Is It?: It'd be pretty damn shocking if it started shooting in 2016, as much as we all want it to, but crazier things have happened. 4/10
