15 Movie Sequels That Better Happen In 2016

14. Bill & Ted 3

The Originals: 1989's Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure became an instant classic off the backs of Keanu Reeves' and Alex Winter's charming performances and an unexpectedly smart engagement with its nutty time travel premise. Its success with audiences and critics led to the 1991 sequel Bogus Journey which, while nowhere near as successful as the original, was still an enjoyable jaunt nevertheless. The Sequel: Screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have been trying to get Bill & Ted 3 off the ground for years, with both Reeves and Winter on-board, though sadly George Carlin, who played their iconic, badass guide Rufus, has since passed away. The script has been written for years, and director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) has even been hand-picked for it, but MGM haven't officially OK'd the production yet. How Likely Is It?: Every time Winter and Reeves are asked about it, they simply say that it's going to happen but nobody knows when the legal red tape will be untangled. It could get sorted out by next year, but don't count on it either. 4/10
