15 Potential Plot Twists That Could Ruin Upcoming Movies

15. Loki Dies (For Real This Time) - Thor: Ragnarok

The Twist: As it's confirmed that Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) deliciously cheeky adoptive brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be returning for his third solo movie, wouldn't it be fitting if the dramatic capper to the trilogy is that the God of Mischief finally dies... for real this time? As in, not coming back. Not ever. Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because considering that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest weakness is its lack of interesting, charismatic villains, writing Loki out would be a massive mistake. He's easily the most entertaining antagonist in the MCU to date, and to make him disappear for good would be a terrible, terrible idea. Though it's already established that Ragnarok is going to have a great deal of import as far as the MCU as a whole goes, that doesn't mean it won't benefit from Hiddleston's presence, because his banter with Hemsworth's Loki is just too damn hilarious to let go of. Plus, it'd be great to see him possibly teaming up to take down Thanos as a potential honorary Avenger in Infinity War (though that might be something of a long shot), as even he feels threatened by the giant purple dude.
