14. It's A Secret Venom Origin Story - Life

The Prediction: A compelling theory emerged shortly before the release of the Alien-homaging sci-fi horror film Life, that being released by Sony Pictures, revolving around an alien creature attacking a ship's crew and being co-written by Deadpool scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, it was in fact going to be a secret origin story for Venom.

The Reality: This was a neat idea and not exactly outside the realm of possibility, but it ultimately turned out to be wishful thinking, as though the alien, Calvin, does survive the movie and make its way to Earth, there's not even the faintest hint that Calvin is even remotely related to the Spider-Man symbiote.
