13. Alien: Covenant Kills Off Elizabeth Shaw In The First Act

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

The Prediction: After reports initially suggested that Noomi Rapace wouldn't be reprising her Prometheus role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw in Alien: Covenant, it then transpired that she would in fact be joining the cast.

Given that the script was already written by this point, it seems extremely likely that she's got a cameo role at best, and what's more believable than her biting it in the first act as a set-up for Katherine Waterston's new heroine, Daniels?

Why It Might Not Happen: It's possible that, while Rapace almost certainly has nothing more than a cameo considering how late she joined the production, she could end up having a Colonel Kurtz-type role, where she's found to be residing on the alien planet, having scavenged in isolation for some time.

Sure, she'll probably still die, but this could be a fun way to tie Prometheus into the film rather than making Covenant feel mostly standalone (save for Michael Fassbender's David, of course).
