15 Reasons Tim Burton’s Batman Is Better Than Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight

11. Introducing Batman

''I'm not going to kill you, I want you to do me a favor, I want you to tell all your friends about me!'' ''WHAT ARE YOU??!!'' ''I'm Batman!''
That was the perfect way to introduce Batman on the big screen for the first time. From the moment he gently lands on the rooftop behind the two muggers counting their money, you know you are going to witness something really awesome. And once hes scared the crap out of the crooks and says ''I'm Batman,'' he just disappears into the night. Compare that to the way Nolan does it. You get a fairly dull cat and mouse game around some sexy looking shipping containers which concludes with an incomprehensible, zoomed in cut scene. And instead of leaving the audience in awe after his ''I'm Batman'' moment, he turns to a hobo and says ''nice coat.'' I don't mind cheesy lines but you have to know when to use them correctly and in a scene like this involving Batman, the last thing you want his the audience giggling! You can compare the two scenes for yourself below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz0egrNk83U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4qgTk8Vfyc
