15 Terrible Looking 2016 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

13. Ghostbusters

The Premise: When ghosts invade Manhattan, two failed authors (Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy) must team up with a nuclear engineer (Kate McKinnon) and a subway worker (Leslie Jones) to save the day.

Why It Looks Awful: Despite writer-director Paul Feig's prior successes (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy), almost everything we've seen so far looks like a pretty desperate pimping-out of the Ghostbusters name, complete with lame, obvious gags, sub-par visual effects for a $150+ million movie, and simply little reason to believe the movie should exist in any way, shape or form.

Why It'll Make A Profit: Because it's Ghostbusters, it's from Paul Feig, and it boasts an excellent cast, not merely the four leads but also the surviving originals in cameo form.

Though a budget of that size for a comedy sounds like a gamble, a whole new generation of kids are about to go see Ghostbusters... even if this one ends up sucking.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
