17. The Attack On Xandar - Avengers: Infinity War

One of Thanos' first stops on his quest to collect all of the Infinity Stones will be Xandar - home of the Nova Corps, where the Power Stone is currently under the protection of Nova Prime. The planet was mentioned in Thor: Ragnarok as being in REASONABLY close proximity to Asgard and with Thanos' ship turning up in the Ragnarok mid-credits scene in the wake of Asgard's destruction, it seems likely that that's where they're either headed or coming from.

The fact that Valkyrie mentions that Asgard can be reached "via Xandar" might be confirmation that Thanos has already been there before we see him in Ragnarok, which makes it likely that the very first scene in Infinity War will be the invasion of the Nova homeworld. And sadly, since the film needs to show off Thanos' threat immediately, it seems likely that we'll actually see the planet completely destroyed.

That's not good for its inhabitants, but it's going to be a hell of a way to open the movie.
