20 Actors Who Shocked Us With Their Singing Ability

19. Chris Pine

chris pine Now I'm not saying that Captain James Tiberius Kirk can't have a lovely singing voice -- after all, we've all watched William Shatner's stirring version of Rocket Man on Youtube far more times than we care to admit. But I'm sure we were all pretty surprised when Chris Pine showed up in Small Town Saturday Night, an otherwise subpar film, with an impressive set of pipes. His character Rhett is an aspiring country singer with dreams of running off to Nashville. In one memorable scene in the film, his band is performing in a country bar. Despite the regrettable location (the bar is super tacky), it's totally worth the six and a half minutes it takes to watch the clip, rewind it, and watch it again. No wonder he's got a woman/woman-shaped alien on every planet.
